Sen. Browne and Rep. Mackenzie Secure Infrastructure Funding for Important Alburtis Borough Project

Alburtis Borough has been awarded $363,000 from the State’s Multimodal Transportation Fund for continued improvements to the Bicentennial Village Neighborhood. I was pleased to work with Representative Ryan Mackenzie to secure these funds for this important local project.

The project will encompass Lockridge Lane, Roberts Street and East Second Street. Improvements will include the replacement of existing concrete sidewalks and vertical curbs, upgrades to meet current ADA standards, replacement of asphalt roadways and line restriping. Previously, Representative Mackenzie and I worked to secure over $760,000 for the completion of the first phase of this project.

“The Borough of Alburtis would like to extend their appreciation to Senator Pat Browne and Representative Ryan Mackenzie for their hard work in obtaining additional funds to help us improve the Bicentennial Village development in the Borough,” said Sharon Trexler, Alburtis Borough Manager.

Completion of local projects, like this one, helps to rebuild, improve and expand infrastructure and build upon the already high quality of life we have come to enjoy in our communities. Funding from the state helps to support these projects without adding to already strained municipal budgets.
