Senate Appropriations Chairman Pat Browne (R-16th District) will hold his annual Community and Family Expo on Thursday, August 1, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the PPL Center, 701 W. Hamilton Street in Allentown.
The Event is Free, Open to the Public and held Rain or Shine.
This will be the 13th year Senator Browne has held his Family and Community Expo, which is designed to provide valuable information to parents, grandparents and children about the myriad of programs, information and other services available to them from government and community groups. This is the first year that the event will be held at the PPL Center.
“This expo is an excellent opportunity for families to receive information, in a relaxed and fun setting, on the numerous government and community programs and services available in our region,” Senator Browne said. “As in past years, we expect another great turnout and we hope families will leave the event with a better understanding of what is available to assist them. Each year, we receive tremendous participation and support from various government agencies, community organizations and private businesses that make sure parents and grandparents are aware of all the wide-ranging resources that are offered to them.”
Thanks to Lehigh Valley Cops ‘n’ Kids, all children will receive a free book while supplies last. Wells Fargo is providing a limited number of free backpacks for children who complete the educational passport. Air Products will be distributing school supplies. Refreshments will also be available.
