Emergency Responders in the 16th District Receive State Grants

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner have announced state grants awarded to fire companies and emergency services in the 16th Senatorial District, according to Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Pat Browne.

The Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program provides grants that may be used for the purchase or repair of firefighting or rescue equipment, construction or renovation costs for facilities, training or debt reduction.

“We, as a Commonwealth, owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our firefighters and EMS crews,” Senator Browne said. “They provide an invaluable service to our communities. With these grants, Pennsylvania shows its support for their dedication and sacrifices. I am pleased that so many fire companies and EMS providers throughout my district qualified for these grants.”
