Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum featured on “The Browne Report”

Senate Majority Whip Pat Browne’s recent visit and tour of the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum in Allentown are featured during this month’s installment of “The Browne Report” television show.

Senator Browne was led on the tour by Joe Garrera, Executive Director of the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum, and Jill Youngken, Chief Curator. The Lehigh Valley Museum is a 30,000 square foot facility on three-and-a-half acres of land in Allentown that houses a collection of history of the Lehigh Valley and Pennsylvania, dating back before the American Revolution.

“The Lehigh Valley has a tremendous history from colonial to industrial to military to modern times,” Senator Browne said. “The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum is one of the greatest showcases of our history in the Lehigh valley and in Pennsylvania. We are fortunate to be able to highlight this museum as part of my monthly television show. I thank Joe and Jill for taking the time to give us a tour and showing us the incredible exhibits the museum has to offer.”

The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum has both permanent exhibits like the history of Allentown, the Lehigh Valley and the American Revolution and newer exhibits that appeal to all audiences and that keep different parts of history relevant and interesting. Recently, the museum opened a Vietnam War exhibit.

“There is so much rich history in Allentown and the Lehigh Valley and this museum does a tremendous job of walking people through it,” Senator Browne said. “It is very important that we have facilities like the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum and leaders like Joe and Jill to preserve that great history for future generations.”

The Browne Report can be seen locally on Blue Ridge Communications, Channel 13 every Monday at 9 a.m.; RCN, Channel 4 fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and fourth Friday each month at 9 a.m.; and, Service Electric Cable, Channel 50 the first Monday each month at 10 p.m. Check your local listings for other times the show may air and date changes.
