Secretary of Education featured on “The Browne Report”

Senate Majority Whip Pat Browne’s conversation with Secretary of Education Carolyn Dumaresq is featured during this month’s installment of “The Browne Report” television show.

Senator Browne and Secretary Dumaresq discussed a wide-range of issues and topics regarding education including the role the state Department of Education plays in both primary and secondary education, the state’s current financial investment in education, early childhood education and special education funding reform. Secretary Dumaresq has been involved in education in Pennsylvania at different levels for over 40 years. She has been a math teacher, a junior high school principal, a high school principal and a superintendent.

“Providing a quality education for all of our children is a fundamental obligation we have as state legislators,” Senator Browne said. “I thank Secretary Dumaresq for providing tremendous insight into current education issues and initiatives. Secretary Dumaresq has had an impressive amount of experience working in the education field, helping to find ways to make sure Pennsylvania children succeed in school and later in life.”
