Senator Browne to Participate in Arts Education Press Conference

WHAT: The Pennsylvania Arts Education Network will hold a media conference for Arts Education Advocacy Day to promote the importance of arts education in Pennsylvania, stress important policy changes that can improve arts education access and quality for Pennsylvania’s students, and thank new members of the Legislative Arts & Culture Caucus.

WHO: Members of the Pennsylvania Arts Education Network; Senators Jay Costa and Pat Browne, and Representatives Mark Cohen, Stan Saylor, and Tim Briggs as Members of the Legislative Arts and Culture Caucus; Philip Horn, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts; Jenny Hershour, Managing Director of Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania; Ron Cowell, President of The Education Policy and Leadership Center; and representatives from statewide arts and education professional organizations.

WHERE: Capitol Media Center, the Pennsylvania State Capitol, Harrisburg.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11 a.m.   Additional events will be going on throughout the day.
