Kids Discovery Expo to be held by Local Legislators

Expo will be held at Da Vinci Science Center

Senator Pat Browne, Representative Doug Reichley and Representative Justin Simmons will hold a Kids Discovery Expo at the Da Vinci Science Center on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Kids Expo will be held Rain or Shine.

The Expo, which is free and open to the public, is designed to provide valuable information to parents, grandparents and children about the myriad of programs, information and other services available to them from government, community and corporate groups throughout the area, according to Senator Browne.

"I want to thank the Da Vinci Science Center for once again graciously allowing Rep. Reichley, Rep. Simmons and me to hold this wonderful event for kids at their state-of-the-art facility," Senator Browne said. "There are many state and local government, as well as, private sector programs to assist children and their families. This event helps share that information with parents, grandparents and friends."

Scheduled entertainment, refreshments and exhibits include or are provided by: Cop 'n' Kids Children's Literacy Program, which will provide a free book for every child (while supplies last), the Allentown Symphony, which will bring its Musical Treasure Chest, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley, Yocco's Inc., Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, The CHIP Program of Capital BlueCross and the Pennsylvania State Treasury – PA 529 College Savings Program.

The Da Vinci Science Center is located at 3145 Hamilton Boulevard Bypass in Allentown, right off of Cedar Crest Boulevard.
