Senate Approves Senator Browne’s Senate Bill 287
Will simplify financial reporting requirements for schools
The Senate approved Senate Bill 287, legislation introduced by Senator Pat Browne (R-16) to simplify annual financial reporting requirements to prevent duplication with the annual audit filed by local education agencies.
"There are several methods through which school districts in the Commonwealth are held accountable for the operating and budgeting within their schools," Senator Browne said. "Senate Bill 287 will decrease the current duplicative reporting requirements as well as save districts time and money without diminishing the financial information collected by the state Department of Education."
