Military veterans' expo set for May 26Special informational event will detail benefits, opportunitiesState Senator Pat Browne, R-16th District, and the Lehigh County Office of Veterans Affairs will host a special expo for military veterans from 4 to 8 p.m. on May 26 in the Jewish Community Center, 22nd and Tilghman streets in Allentown. The expo will give veterans and their families an opportunity to learn about a number of issues and benefits, including how to obtain a copy of a DD-214, healthcare and job placement services, as well as financial planning and small business opportunities. "Our country and our Commonwealth have been well served by our military members for more than 200 years," Senator Browne said. "Government at all levels recognizes that service and rewards its veterans by providing a number of special benefits and programs. I strongly urge all veterans to attend this informative session and find out what is available to them." The meeting is free and open to the public.
