Ellen Kern, chief of staff for Senator Pat Browne, congratulates Adam Bieber on his successful completion of the "Step up to Success-Life Skills and Trades Training" program on July 14, 2008. Adam was the first graduate of program in its inaugural year. This program is for young men and women who return to get their GED. Joining Adam and Ellen at the graduation ceremony was Adam’s mother and grandmother, along with Mike Gibson from the Associated Builders and Contractors and Deb Geiger and Steve Miller from the Center for Humanistic Change.
