  • Senate Bill 928 (Senator Stack):  establishes the Protecting Pennsylvania's Investments Act, providing for divestiture by the State Treasurer, the State Employees' Retirement System, and the Public School Employees' Retirement System of investments in companies doing business in Iran and Sudan.
    • Amendment A06651 (Browne): makes minor technical changes to mirror the House version (House Bill 1821), and extends the time period for divestment.
       
  • Senate Bill 1255 (Senator Browne): amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971, further providing for time for filing returns and for time of payment to repeal the monthly sales tax remittance requirement that was contained in Act 48 of 2009.
    • Amendment A06650 (Browne): technical amendment regarding the payment in June of 2011 to address the possibility of low sales tax figures for the prior year that could impact the first payment.
       
  • Senate Resolution 250 (Senator Earll): directs the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a comprehensive study of the current real property tax collection systems in this Commonwealth to determine the impact of the consolidation of those real property tax collection systems, including the costs and benefits associated with consolidation, and to compare them to real property tax collection systems of other states, particularly those states with demographics similar to the Commonwealth.
