Senate Bill 23 (Senator O'Pake):
Amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971, further providing for
disposition of foreign fire insurance company taxes; and
authorizing a tax credit for volunteer firefighters for
purposes of personal income tax. A00898 (Senator
Wozniak): Incorporates the language from Senate Bill 24
into Senate Bill 23, and also clarifies that the funding for
the tax credits will not come from any of the insurance
premiums tax revenues previously dedicated for a specific
purpose.
Senate Bill 24 (Senator O'Pake):
Amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971, further providing for
disposition of foreign fire insurance company taxes; and
authorizing a tax credit for volunteer emergency medical
services (EMS) personnel for purposes of personal income
tax.
House Bill 876 (Rep. D. Evans):
This legislation extends the current 4% employer
contribution rate floor established in the State Employees'
Retirement code to fiscal year 07/08 and each fiscal year
thereafter. Additional language mandates that the SERS
board recertify employer contribution rates for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 2007 within 15 days of the effective
date of the legislation.
Senate Bill 7 (Senator Regola):
Taxpayer Protection Act (Constitutional Amendment). This
legislation provides amend the Pennsylvania Constitution by
providing for spending limitations on the Commonwealth,
providing for the disposition of surplus funds; and
establishing the Taxpayer Protection Fund.
A00770 (Senator Eichelberger): Under this
amendment, the state's allocated spending cap would be
decreased commensurate with any funding cuts to a mandated
service.
Senate Bill 707 (Senator Folmer):
Taxpayer Protection Act. This legislation would establish
spending limitations on the Commonwealth; providing for the
disposition of surplus funds; establishing the Taxpayer
Protection Fund; and repealing provisions of the Fiscal Code
relating to the funding of a stabilization reserve.
A00781 (Senator Eichelberger): Under this
amendment, the state's allocated spending cap would be
