Small Business Grants AwardedFive businesses receive funding from DEPFive local companies recently received state funding from the Small Business Advantage Grant Program, according to Senator Pat Browne (R-16). Woof World (Lehigh County) received $7,500 to buy and install HVAC system and to conserve energy costs through conservation. Bath Market (Northampton County) received $7,500 to purchase and install upgraded lighting with individual motion sensors to conserve energy. Big Dog Express (Lehigh County) received $4,750 to purchase and install an APU in a long-haul trailer to eliminate idling during layovers. PC Beverage, Inc. (Northampton County) received $889 to purchase and install upgraded lighting with individual motion sensors to conserve energy. Missing Piece (Northampton County) received $195 to purchase and install upgraded lighting with individual motion sensors to conserve energy. The Small Business Advantage Grant Program provides 50 percent matching grants to Pennsylvania companies to encourage the implementation of equipment or processes that reduce energy consumption and pollution while helping to increase profitability.
