Two Local Fairs Receive State Grants

$15,765 shared by Allentown and Schnecksville

The State Department of Agriculture recently notified Senator Pat Browne that two fairs held in the 16th Senatorial District were awarded Capitol Improvement Grants.

The Great Allentown Fair will receive $6,915 for sidewalk projects and the Schnecksville Community Fair will receive $8,850 for an addition to the show ring.

"These grants are good investments by the Commonwealth toward two excellent organizations," Senator Browne said. "These fairs provide a great opportunity for people from all parts of our region – farmers, suburbanites and city dwellers – to get together and have a good time. The grants will make these fairs even better."
