Hanover Township Receives Recycling Grant

Will receive $92,386 "reward for performance"

Hanover Township, Northampton County, will receive a $92,386 Recycling Performance Grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection, according to Senator Pat Browne.

The grant is based on the 6,183 tons recycled and Hanover Township's overall population during 2005, Senator Browne said.

"This grant shows that recycling is working in Hanover Township. It rewards the community for its efforts and shows that recycling does pay off, both in preserving our environment and in funds from the state," Senator Browne said. "This grant is a tribute to the recycling efforts of its residents and businesses."
